Class 5 had a brilliant day at Bishops Wood last week. They took part in their Viking programme where they discussed everything Viking-related. They travelled on a ‘longship’ and visited a Viking house and forge area. They enjoyed making clay pots, spinning wool and making copper brooches. They built hunting shelters in the woods, and learnt how to light a fire using a piece of flint.
It was a very cold day but everyone enjoyed themselves. The children behaved amazingly and were a credit to the school and parents.
