Yesterday, the choir went to Herford Cathedral to take part in the Herefordshire Combined Schools Carol Service. This has become an annual treat for us at the start of Advent, and once again it was a wonderful start to the Christmas season. From the moment the lights were dimmed and the Cathedral School Chamber Choir processed in by candlelight singing ‘Lux Aurumque’, we were treated to a beautiful mix of ancient and modern Christmas music, and it was a privilege for us to be part of the massed choir.
