Britain in Bloom Tarrington. Millponds Campsite.
The maypole dancing team produced a very good show on Wednesday for the Tarrington Britain in Bloom event. The children were very well behaved and it was a pleasure to take them to Tarrington.
The organisers and the small audience of campers really enjoyed the demonstration. Some of them joined in briefly at the end. The whole performance was much appreciated by the organisers. Many thanks for the help from parents Mrs Hayes, Mrs Connor, Mrs Heather George and staff at school.
Cinderabba
The show was surely the event of the year and what a success! Everyone enjoyed the performances and grateful thanks should go to everyone who took part, including the children, staff, parents, especially outside contributors. The costumes were fantastic, colourful, all the props, music, singing and performances were very professional, also the staff did a wonderful job back stage and with the scene changing.
The DVDs for Cinderabba are now available, however, could you please pay for your DVDs when you order them, thank you. Thank you goes to Mr and Mrs Little for their help with the DVD's and all the photos.
Class 1Class 1 are looking forward to the end of term. We are all very tired and looking forward to having a rest. We have settled well into our new classroom and are excited about the work on the new play area being carried out during the holidays. We have coped well with all the changes we have had this term and are looking forward to the next year. Class 2On Wednesday we managed to dodge the rain as we walked through the village to be welcomed by Rev. Harte at Cradley Chapel. What a fascinating little place, where we became history detectives trying to work out how things used to be by looking for clues and evidence. We were amazed that the horses lived in the end of the house just by the kitchen. Well done to the Year 3 children for supporting the bigger ones in Cinderabba with their wonderful singing. Class 3The Year 3’s have all enjoyed 6 super sessions of Forest Schools which culminated in a camp fire when they toasted marshmallows – Delicious! Class 4Class 4 have tidied the Forest School area so that all our den building materials can be stored ready for next term. We have also enjoyed playing some strategic maths games and making our own Mr Men books. Class 5
Class 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Pizza Express yesterday morning where we toured the premises, learned about how a retain establishment like this operates and made our own pizzas! We ate in the restaurant and then finished up at Callow End Old Hills for pudding!
