Monday 26th April
Class 5 welcomed a visitor from Tyrells crisps today who kindly came to explain to us the process of growing potatoes in order to produce their range of popular crisps.
Tyrells supplied us with a bag of seed potaotes which we then went out and planted in our kitchen garden. During the following weeks we will water and tend them before, hopefully, harvesting them in the last few weeeks of the summmer term. Here we are busy preparing the soil and planting them.
Also, in today's Imagineering lesson, we completed ourBloodhound Model cars.
We went out onto the playground and also into the hall to test how far the cars would travel on different sufaces. We found that our cars moved faster and further on the hall floor as there was less friction on the smooth floor rather than the rougher tarmac and slabs outside. We also discussed the impact that the strong wind would have on the motion of the cars.
