In October Class 1 went on their first trip to Eastnor Pottery to visit Jon the Potter and his wife Sarah. We spent the morning making our collaborative Christmas tree, by rolling small bits of clay into worms and wrapping them around a flower pot, sculpting them into the shape of a Christmas tree. After smoothing it, we then added our personal decorations and helped to paint it green. After a spot of lunch in the gazeebo we then spent the afternoon making Christmas candle holders, which we gave to our families as a Christmas present! It was great fun seeing Jon again after he spent the previous summer in Nursery showing us how to use the potter's wheel.
