The Nursery comprises of a small team of experienced and dedicated staff.

Lauren Smith (Nursery Manager)

Lauren is CACHE Level Three qualified, with several years experience working across the Early Years. Lauren also has one primary aged child at the school. Lauren’s exceptional organisational skills ensure the smooth running of the Nursery on a daily basis. Lauren’s planned activities are specially formulated for our two-year-olds, ensuring all ages are catered for at our Nursery. She leads on ICT within Nursery, ensuring both staff and children are using current apps to enhance learning and teaching. Lauren is also our lead First Aider and keeps us all safe through thorough risk assessments and individual care plans.

Yasmin Lynes (Deputy Nursery Manager)

Yasmin is a passionate early years professional, with a Cache Level 3 in Early Years, and over seven years experience of working with young children. She has a Masters Degree in 'Sustainable Development Advocacy', and so is enthusiastic about engaging children in the natural world. Yasmin can be found mixing mud pies, hammering things together, building forts or hunting for fairies. She is also addicted to children's literature and encouraging children to fall in love with books at an early age. Yasmin is very pleased to have been promoted to Deputy Manager. She promises to create engaging and stimulating ideas to help each child reach their potential.

Yasmin is a proud mummy to her beautiful daughter Grace, who is 8 years old. Both can normally be found up or tree, reading stories or digging their garden.

Julia Ralph (Nursery Assistant)

I have been working with foundation stage children for over 10 years, my passion being with children with additional needs. I have been in a managerial role within a setting, going on to become a Portage Worker and trainer also specialising in behaviour issues supporting children and parents.

I have knowledge in Elklan and visited Italian nursery settings gaining knowledge of Reggio and have a Foundation Degree in Early Years.

Charlie Rankin  (Nursery Apprentice)

Charlie is our newest recruit to the Nursery Team. Charlie has lived in Cradley all her life and has recently studied a Diploma of Art at Hereford College. Charlie enjoys the Expressive Arts and Design area, especially being creative with the children in Nursery. She also has two nephews at Cradley School. Charlie loves the outdoors and is often found walking her dog Buster around the village. In her spare time, Charlie has an interest in photography, and specialises in children's photography.

Sue Sanders (Volunteer)

Sue has volunteered at the nursery on a weekly basis since opening. She adds such a lot to the nursery; helping on ‘welly walk’, joining in with PE, making pancakes and playing endless games with the children, to name but a few.  Sue is so well loved by all our children who gain a huge amount from her input.

Students/Class People:

At Cradley Nursery we are mentors for a wide variety of students ranging from those at College to Student Teachers at University. We work closely with Worcester University to be an excellent provider of Early Years mentoring, working collaboratively to share in outstanding practice.
